Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing care and support to women during labor and childbirth. You will oversee the delivery process, monitor the mother and baby's vital signs, administer medications, and provide emotional support to both the mother and her family.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the progress of labor and assess the mother's physical and emotional well-being
- Administer medications and pain relief as needed
- Assist with childbirth and provide emotional support to the mother
- Provide education and guidance to new mothers on breastfeeding and newborn care
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe delivery
- Document patient information and keep accurate records of labor and delivery
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience working in labor and delivery or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and work well under pressure
- Knowledge of childbirth techniques and medical procedures
