Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Neuro Ortho
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant specializing in Neuro Ortho, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals with neurological and orthopedic conditions. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients while assisting with activities of daily living and monitoring their condition.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
2. Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
3. Help patients with mobility and exercises prescribed by medical professionals
4. Assist with feeding and nutrition as needed
5. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
7. Follow care plans and protocols set by healthcare providers
8. Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care
9. Document patient interactions and observations accurately
10. Adhere to all regulations and guidelines regarding patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
2. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably with neuro ortho patients
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work as part of a team
5. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
6. Knowledge of basic medical terminology
7. Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and daily activities
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
9. Basic computer skills for documenting patient care
10. CPR certification
