Job Title: Orthopedics Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
The Orthopedics RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing care plans, administering medications, and assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures. The Orthopedics RN will also educate patients on post-operative care and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients with orthopedic conditions
2. Developing and implementing individualized care plans
3. Administering medications and treatments
4. Assisting with surgical procedures and other interventions
5. Educating patients and families on treatment plans and post-operative care
6. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers
7. Maintaining accurate medical records
8. Ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times
9. Participating in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. Certification in Orthopedic Nursing a plus
4. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in orthopedics
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
8. Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and treatments
9. CPR certification
10. Attention to detail and ability to multitask
