We are seeking a passionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Resident to join our Surgical Unit team. This residency program is designed for new graduate RNs or RNs transitioning into surgical care. You’ll receive specialized training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in perioperative care, pre/post-op management, and acute surgical patient recovery.
Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care in a surgical unit
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal surgical outcomes
Monitor patients before and after surgery, assessing vital signs and pain levels
Administer medications, manage wound care, and assist with mobility and recovery
Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to hospital safety protocols
Participate in ongoing training sessions, simulations, and performance evaluations during the residency
Current RN licensure (or eligibility) in the state of employment
Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Passion for surgical nursing and patient advocacy
