Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in urgent and life-threatening situations. You will work closely with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure timely and effective treatment for patients in need of immediate medical attention.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and triaging patients upon arrival to the Emergency Department
- Administering medication and treatment as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring patient vital signs and response to treatment
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Responding to emergencies and providing life-saving interventions as needed
- Documenting patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Providing patient and family education on medical conditions and treatment options
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
