Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients, monitoring their vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients in the ICU.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and prioritizing patient needs in a fast-paced and dynamic ICU setting
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring and interpreting patients' vital signs and responding quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans
- Educating patients and their families on the treatment and recovery process
- Documenting patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Prior experience working in an ICU setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
