Job Summary:
A Patient Care Technician is responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care in various medical settings. This includes assisting with routine care, monitoring patient vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist nurses and doctors in providing patient care such as bathing, feeding, and medication administration
- Monitor and record patient vital signs
- Assist patients with mobility and daily activities
- Maintain patient hygiene and cleanliness
- Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times
- Transport patients to various locations within the facility
- Assist with medical procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Document patient information and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or similar certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
