Job Title: Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the MedSurg / Telemetry unit will be responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MedSurg / Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, recognizing and reporting any abnormalities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg / Telemetry nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
