Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical unit. The successful candidate will provide quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide holistic patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult times
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality of care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
