Job Title: Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit (ICU) will provide specialized care for patients with critical medical conditions. They will closely monitor patient progress, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patient condition, vital signs, and response to treatment.
2. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by the healthcare team.
3. Manage ventilators and other life support equipment.
4. Educate and support patients and their families on recovery and care plans.
5. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Document patient care and outcomes accurately and timely.
7. Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
8. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
4. Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
5. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
8. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
