Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post Partum unit. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to new mothers and their babies during the postpartum period. This role involves monitoring the health and well-being of both mother and baby, assisting with breastfeeding, and educating new mothers on newborn care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor the physical and emotional health of new mothers during the postpartum period
2. Provide support and education to new mothers on breastfeeding and newborn care
3. Assist with postpartum recovery and comfort measures
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
7. Stay up-to-date on the latest postpartum care practices and guidelines
8. Provide emotional support and counseling to new mothers and families
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. Previous experience in postpartum care preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. Compassionate and empathetic towards patients
7. Ability to provide education and support to new mothers
8. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
