Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drawing blood samples, handling specimens, and providing exceptional patient care. The Phlebotomist Technician plays a crucial role in the diagnostic process by ensuring accurate and timely collection of blood samples for testing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples
- Label and properly store specimens for testing
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Provide excellent patient care and ensure comfort during procedures
- Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Assist in training and mentoring new phlebotomists
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate testing results
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Certification as a Phlebotomist Technician (CPT)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
