Job Title: Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides high-quality clinical care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They work closely with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patients, administer medications, and implement treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and monitoring patients’ conditions and vital signs
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Responding to emergency situations and providing life-saving interventions as needed
- Educating patients and their families on the care plan and recovery process
- Documenting patient care and treatment plans accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to stay current on best practices in critical care nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
