Job Title: Nurse Navigator (Nursing) Registered Nurse Oncology
Job Summary:
The Nurse Navigator (Nursing) Registered Nurse Oncology is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with cancer. They serve as a guide and advocate for patients throughout their cancer treatment journey, helping to coordinate their care and ensure they receive the support and resources they need.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop personalized care plans
- Coordinate appointments, tests, and treatments for patients
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Monitor patient progress and update care plans as needed
- Assist with symptom management and side effects of treatment
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- Certification in oncology nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
