Job title: Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is responsible for providing specialized care to newborn infants who require intensive medical attention. They monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assist in feeding and comforting the infants. They work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the infants under their care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Monitor and assess the physical and emotional well-being of newborn infants in the NICU.

2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors.

3. Keep accurate and detailed records of patient care.

4. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans.

5. Provide emotional support and education to parents and family members.

6. Follow strict protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of the infants.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.

2. Previous experience in neonatal nursing or NICU preferred.

3. BLS and ACLS certification.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.

6. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
