Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses. This position requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and monitoring patient health status
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to create individualized care plans
- Educating patients and their families on treatment plans and disease management
- Performing various diagnostic tests and procedures
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
