Job Title: Registered Nurse Infusion
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse Infusion, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients receiving intravenous therapies at home or in a clinical setting. Your duties will include assessing patient needs, administering medications, monitoring for side effects, and educating patients and their families on proper care techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
- Administering intravenous medications and therapies
- Monitoring patients for signs of adverse reactions and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educating patients and their families on medication administration and side effect management
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and staying up-to-date on best practices in infusion therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certification in Infusion Nursing or equivalent experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
- Prior experience in infusion therapy is preferred
