Job title: Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. This includes assisting with pre-procedure preparations, monitoring patients during procedures, and providing post-procedure care. The candidate must have a strong understanding of cardiac conditions and procedures, as well as exceptional critical thinking and communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during procedures
- Administer medications as necessary
- Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Registered Nurse license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab or ICU setting
- Strong knowledge of cardiac conditions and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
