Job title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg / Telemetry
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg / Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, monitor patients' conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform assessments and develop care plans for patients in the Med Surg / Telemetry unit
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in condition
- Educate patients and their families on managing their health post-discharge
- Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med Surg / Telemetry setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
