Job title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. The nurse will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide immediate medical treatment to patients experiencing acute illnesses or injuries.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triage patients based on acuity level
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Assist with emergency procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and follow-up care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
