Job Title: Surgical Technologist in Grand Junction, CO
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled surgical technologist to join our team in Grand Junction, CO. The successful candidate will work alongside surgeons, nurses and other health professionals to ensure that surgical procedures run smoothly and efficiently. This position will require previous experience in the operating room and knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by laying out instruments and equipment
• Assist in surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to surgeons and their assistants
• Monitor and maintain equipment during surgery
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgical procedures
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
• Assist in patient transportation to and from the operating room
• Clean and sterilize instruments after surgery
• Order and maintain surgical supplies and equipment inventory
Qualifications and Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a surgical technologist program
• Certification as a surgical technologist
• Previous experience in the operating room
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
• Ability to work well under pressure and with a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
