Job Title: Registered Nurse Urology RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Urology RN to join our healthcare team in State College, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized patient care and education to patients suffering from urological conditions. Your primary focus will be on patient safety, comfort, and wellbeing. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote the most favorable patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Administer medications and provide treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and alert physicians to any significant changes.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about urological conditions, treatments, and best practices for self-care.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and surgical procedures.
• Document all patient records and ensure accuracy, completeness and confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with other departments within the facility to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred but not mandatory.
• At least 1-2 year(s) of nursing experience in urology preferred.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certificate.
• In-depth knowledge of urological conditions, procedures, and treatments.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients and their families.
