Job Title: Registered Nurse Cath Lab RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a Cath Lab RN specialty to join our team in Opelousas, LA. This individual will be responsible for providing direct patient care during procedures in the cath lab, as well as pre- and post-procedure care. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in administering all phases of cath lab procedures and be able to quickly and accurately analyze EKG readings and notify the physician of any abnormalities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their vital signs during procedures
• Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
• Operate and manipulate imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images
• Interpret and analyze EKG readings, including identifying any abnormalities and notifying the physician
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and families
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
• Current RN license in the state of Louisiana
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Familiarity with diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
