Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Medical-Surgical nursing to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an RN in the Med Surg unit, you will provide direct patient care, monitor and manage patients' conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in the Med Surg unit
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and manage patients, observing for changes in condition and reporting them promptly
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with medical standards
- Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure safety and infection control measures are upheld
- Act with empathy and professionalism in routine and critical situations, adapting to patients' diverse needs
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State]
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher preferred
