Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Med Surg RN to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical department and ensure their well-being during their hospital stay. As a Med Surg RN, you will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, administering medications, coordinating care plans with healthcare providers, and educating patients and families on their condition and treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental health status upon admission and throughout their stay.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor patient response, and document observations accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor vital signs, identify any changes in patient conditions, and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments promptly.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, ensuring seamless transitions between healthcare providers and departments.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and answering questions clearly and empathetically.
- Educate patients and families on self-care techniques, treatment plans, and medication regimens.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
- Document patient information, nursing actions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid and current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of [x] years of experience working as a Med Surg RN preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminologies, patient assessment techniques, and clinical procedures.
