Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
An Emergency Room Nurse is responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients in critical conditions. They work in high-pressure environments to assess, stabilize, and treat patients with various medical emergencies.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Triaging patients based on the severity of their conditions
2. Administering medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in condition
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care
5. Educating patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment plans
6. Performing emergency procedures as needed
7. Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records
8. Adhering to hospital protocols and safety guidelines
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to work efficiently in high-stress situations
7. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
8. Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
