Job Title: CVOR-RN (Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse)
Job Summary:
As a CVOR-RN, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients during surgical procedures in the cardiovascular operating room. This role requires a high level of expertise and knowledge in cardiac care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
2. Collaborating with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
3. Administering medications and assisting with anesthesia administration.
4. Monitoring patient vital signs and notifying the surgeon of any changes in patient condition.
5. Providing patient education on post-operative care and recovery.
6. Ensuring the operating room is properly set up and sterile for each procedure.
7. Assisting with surgical procedures, such as suturing and wound care.
8. Documenting patient care and treatment in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. BSN degree preferred.
3. Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred.
4. At least 2 years of experience in cardiovascular nursing.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
8. Knowledge of cardiac surgical procedures and equipment.
