Job Title: Cardiovascular Critical/ Progressive Care Unit Nurse
Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Critical/ Progressive Care Unit Nurse is responsible for providing specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in a critical or progressive care setting. They monitor and assess the patient's condition, administer medications, collaborate with other healthcare providers, and provide support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients with cardiovascular conditions, such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-surgical recovery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and prevention strategies
- Perform technical procedures, such as ECGs, telemetry monitoring, and intravenous therapy
- Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license
- Minimum of 2 years experience in critical care or progressive care settings, preferably with a focus on cardiovascular conditions
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
