Job title: Registered Nurse, Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care (LTC) facility, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. You will be tasked with developing care plans, administering medications, monitoring resident health, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of those in your care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents in LTC facility.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Monitor and assess resident health status, and communicate any changes to the healthcare team.
4. Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and services for residents.
6. Document all care provided and maintain accurate medical records.
7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work well in a team environment.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
6. Knowledge of best practices in nursing care for elderly patients.
