Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), you will provide direct care to residents under the supervision of licensed nurses. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents' health and well-being, and ensure their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs
- Help residents with mobility and transferring
- Serve meals and assist with feeding
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Follow care plans and report any changes in residents' condition to licensed nurses
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current CNA certification
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate care to residents
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to lift and move residents as needed
