Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg RN
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse Med Surg RN, you will be responsible for providing quality care for patients on the medical-surgical unit. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and their families on proper care techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and monitor patient's condition and vital signs
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a healthcare provider
3. Implement and evaluate individualized care plans
4. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide holistic care
5. Educate patients and families on disease management and self-care
6. Document patient care and treatment plans accurately
7. Ensure patient safety by following all protocols and procedures
8. Act as an advocate for patients and their families
9. Assist in emergency situations as needed
10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. Med Surg experience preferred
4. BLS certification
5. ACLS certification
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
8. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
9. Reliable and dependable
10. Ability to work effectively in a team
