Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing personalized care to elderly or disabled residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Your primary goal will be to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of each resident, while assisting them with daily activities and medical tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical procedures
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current CNA certification in the state of employment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Compassion and empathy for elderly or disabled individuals
- Ability to lift and move residents with assistance
