Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery Nurse (LDRP)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to pregnant women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe delivery of babies and provide education and emotional support to new mothers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the progress of labor and assess the condition of both mother and baby
- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques
- Assist with deliveries and provide immediate care to newborns
- Educate new parents on infant care and breastfeeding
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure the well-being of patients
- Document patient information accurately and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certification in Obstetrics (RNC-OB) or Labor and Delivery Nursing (LDRP) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
