Job Title: Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician to join our healthcare team. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct various tests on patient samples to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and medical conditions. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a medical technologist or pathologist to ensure accurate and timely results are provided to healthcare providers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, bodily fluids, and tissue samples
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Analyze test results and report findings to healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate records of tests performed
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory policies and procedures
- Assist with quality control and quality assurance activities
- Participate in continuing education and training programs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems and computer applications
