Job Title: Long Term Care (LTC) CNA
Job Summary:
As a Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing assistance and personalized care to residents in long-term care facilities. Your primary goal will be to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents while promoting their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
3. Help residents with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and positioning techniques.
4. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in conversation and activities.
5. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, following dietary guidelines and restrictions.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including changing bed linens and organizing personal belongings.
7. Follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff to ensure individualized care for each resident.
8. Document observations, interactions, and care provided in residents' records accurately and timely.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active CNA certification in the state of employment.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Compassionate and patient demeanor.
5. Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
6. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move residents with limited mobility.
7. Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
