Job Title: CNA LTC (Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care)
Job Summary:
As a CNA in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing essential daily care to residents who are unable to care for themselves. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to residents. Your role is crucial in maintaining the health and well-being of those under your care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitoring and recording vital signs
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assisting with feeding and toileting
- Turning and repositioning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores
- Assisting with range of motion exercises
- Reporting any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Active CNA certification
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Physical stamina to lift and move residents as needed
