Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the emergency department. You will assess and prioritize patient needs, administer medications, perform medical interventions, and work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the emergency department
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatment
4. Perform emergency medical interventions as needed
5. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
6. Educate patients and families on their condition and treatment plan
7. Document patient care accurately and timely
8. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing
4. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
7. Knowledge of emergency care protocols and procedures
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
