Job Title: Registered Nurse, LPN Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, LPN in Long Term Care (LTC), you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each resident. Your primary goal will be to promote the health and well-being of residents while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of residents.
2. Develop and implement care plans based on nursing assessments and physician orders.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
4. Monitor residents' vital signs and response to treatment.
5. Provide education and support to residents and their families.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided.
8. Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
9. Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience working in long-term care setting.
3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Knowledge of nursing care standards and regulations.
7. CPR certification.
8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
9. Compassion and empathy for residents and their families.
10. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
