Job Title: CNA LTC (Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care)
Job Summary:
The CNA LTC is responsible for providing direct care to residents in a long-term care facility. This includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes in health status to the nursing staff. The CNA LTC plays a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
2. Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
3. Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
4. Assist with feeding residents who require help.
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
6. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
7. Follow care plans developed by the nursing staff.
8. Document care provided to residents accurately.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
2. Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
3. Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and medical terminology.
4. Compassionate and patient demeanor.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well in a team environment.
7. Physical stamina to assist residents with mobility and daily tasks.
