Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to patients experiencing medical emergencies in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and triaging patients upon arrival to the emergency room
- Performing emergency medical procedures as needed
- Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitoring and recording patient vital signs
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Educating patients and their families on conditions and treatment plans
- Assisting in emergency surgeries and other medical interventions as needed
- Providing emotional support to patients and families in crisis situations
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room nursing
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations
- Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
