Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for assisting physicians in performing minimally invasive and image-guided procedures using radiologic imaging techniques. They play a crucial role in patient care, ensuring procedures are carried out safely and effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepares and positions patients for procedures
2. Operates imaging equipment to visualize the area of interest
3. Assists physicians in performing procedures such as angioplasty, biopsies, and stent placements
4. Provides patient care and monitors vital signs during procedures
5. Maintains accurate patient records and documentation
6. Ensures all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained
7. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
8. Adheres to safety protocols and infection control measures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field
- ARRT certification
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- Experience in interventional radiology preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of radiologic imaging techniques and equipment
