Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Radiation Oncology

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Radiation Oncology, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing radiation treatment for cancer. You will work closely with oncologists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care and support for patients throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed protocols

- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions to radiation therapy

- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process and potential side effects

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for patients

- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care

Qualifications and Skills:

- Valid RN license in the state of practice

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

- Certification in Radiation Oncology Nursing (CRN) preferred

- Prior experience in oncology nursing is a plus

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
