Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Charge RN to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, overseeing staff nurses, and ensuring the smooth operation of the med surg unit. This position requires flexibility, strong leadership skills, and a passion for helping patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in a med surg setting
- Supervise and mentor staff nurses
- Ensure adherence to nursing standards and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Assist with training and orientation of new staff members
- Handle administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of med surg nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel and work in different healthcare facilities
