Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab Recovery/PCU RN
Job Summary:
As a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Cath Lab Recovery/PCU, you will provide care to patients recovering post-cardiac catheterization procedures and monitor patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care and positive patient outcomes while traveling to various healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patients post-cardiac catheterization procedures for signs of complications
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions in the PCU
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and medications
- Document patient care and observations accurately in medical records
- Assist with procedures and interventions as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab Recovery and/or PCU
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new environments and travel to different healthcare facilities
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
