Job title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our travel nursing team. The CVOR RN will work in collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. This is a travel position, allowing you to explore new cities while utilizing your specialized nursing skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with cardiovascular surgeries, including heart transplants, coronary artery bypass grafts, and valve replacements
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide post-operative care
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and quality of care
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the CVOR setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel and adapt to new work settings
