Job Title: OR Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled OR Technologist to join our team in the operating room. The OR Technologist will be responsible for assisting surgical teams during procedures, preparing and maintaining surgical equipment, and ensuring the operating room is clean and organized. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
- Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Communicate effectively with surgical team members
- Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room
- Provide support to surgeons and nurses as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as an OR Technologist or surgical technician preferred
- Certification as a surgical technologist
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment
