Job title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery Nurse
Job Summary:
As a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, you will provide care and support to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. You will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure a safe and positive experience for both mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor fetal heart rates during labor
2. Assist with labor induction and augmentation
3. Provide pain management techniques during labor
4. Monitor vital signs of mother and baby during delivery
5. Assist with postpartum care for mother and baby
6. Educate new parents on newborn care and breastfeeding
7. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
8. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent
3. At least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
4. BLS and ACLS certification
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in high-stress situations
7. Willingness to travel and work in various healthcare settings
8. Knowledge of current nursing practices and procedures
