Job title: Travel Registered Nurse Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU)
Job Summary: The Travel Registered Nurse PACU will provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. They will monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and assist with the transition to the post-operative recovery area.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess for any post-operative complications
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
- Assist with the safe transfer of patients to the post-operative recovery area
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU nursing
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
