Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room / Circulate
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel RN to work in the Operating Room and circulate during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing, be able to work well under pressure, and prioritize patient safety at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare patients for surgery by performing pre-operative assessments and obtaining patient consent.
2. Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, monitoring vital signs, and providing support to the surgeon.
3. Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
4. Assess post-operative patients for potential complications and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for surgical patients.
6. Document patient care accurately and keep detailed records of procedures and outcomes.
7. Stay current on best practices in surgical nursing and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room setting.
3. BLS and ACLS certifications required.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
7. Willingness to travel to different facilities as needed.
