Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and support to residents in a long-term care setting. You will work under the supervision of licensed nurses to assist with daily living activities, monitor patient health and well-being, and provide emotional support to residents and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
- Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Assist with medication administration under the direction of a licensed nurse
- Monitor changes in resident's condition and report any concerns to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility devices and transfers as needed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Follow all facility policies and procedures to ensure resident safety and well-being
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
